About

With over two decades of expertise in hospitality and commercial design, Richard Luis leads WATG’s newest office in Dallas as the Managing Principal and Office Director. His global experience encompasses regions such as the US, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central & South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Before joining WATG, Richard was a Principal & Studio Practice Leader for Hospitality at HKS Architects in Miami. Here, he played a pivotal role in the growth and success of the Miami Hospitality Studio. His leadership and vision have been central to the development of significant projects across the globe.

He believes that great design and exciting architecture starts with clear conception ideas and a deep understanding of the client’s vision. In his design process, passion and knowledge ignites a collaborative team effort aimed at delivering the best value for our clients, ensuring the office’s success in delivering world-class architectural solutions.

Richard is a licensed architect in both the State of Texas and his home country of Uruguay. His extensive credentials, combined with his leadership, client relationships and comprehensive expertise, position him to drive innovation and excellence at WATG Dallas.
