A graduate in architecture from the University of Southern California, Robert Payan, Senior Vice President, joined WATG’s California office in 1988. Since that time, he has served as lead designer on many of the firm’s luxury hotel, resort and residential projects, both foreign and domestic.
Robert’s experience as a destination resort designer has included numerous notable projects such as: the 260-room Four Seasons Dublin Resort in Ireland; Four Seasons Resort and Golf Clubhouse at Aviara, Carlsbad, California; Marriott Vacation Club, Newport Beach, California; Rosewood Tangará Park Hotel and Spa in São Paulo, Brasil; and the 100-room Four Seasons Punta Mita Resort in Puerto Vallarta.
As a senior team member at WATG, Robert has directed several new and renovated urban hotels and mixed use projects in Latin America and world-wide including Oasis Palmilla Resort & Spa, Fiesta Americana Los Cabos, and The Ritz-Reserve Puerto Los Cabos.
