While the hotel industry continues to rebound from the pandemic, there is one element to hospitality that is taking off in North America: all-inclusive resorts. According to The New York Times’ Spring 2022 Travel Trends, all-inclusive bookings are at an all-time high compared to pre-2019 levels. What’s not to love? Endless food and drink, panoramic ocean views and most of all, ease over knowing you can book a trip without having to plan any of the activities or amenities.
WATG is no stranger to the all-inclusive market and while amenities and white sandy beaches might be the main draw for guests, having a thoughtful design approach is ultimately what makes these resorts successful for the long-term.
In this paper, WATG explores what makes all-inclusive resorts so appealing, as well as where this industry is headed.
